NYC Anniversary Trip Re-Cap- Saturday

Saturday:

On Saturday morning we casually walked around NY University and saw Grace Church and Washington Square park.
Touching the tip of Grace Church.
Such a beautiful building all around.

NYU Physics building.
NYU Biology and Chemistry building.
We really liked seeing the differences with having a university crammed in the middle of Manhattan verses taking up half a city (OSU in Columbus) or being a small school spread out among some land (Harding University).

After our morning wanderings, we went to Junior's Deli for lunch. We had been told they have the best cheesecake around. We stuffed ourselves so full with our meal that we didn't have room for dessert, so we took some cheesecake to go and at it later. I must say, it was delicious.
After lunch, we saw the matinee show of... drum roll please... The Lion King!!! Oh. My. Goodness. It was amazing. As a lot of you know, I'm sure, I am a huge musical person. I love Broadway. This show was like nothing I have ever seen before. It was so unique and fantastic. The music was to die for. The costumes were amazing. And the set was unbelievable!
I'm excited to see the Lion King! Doesn't the lady who walked into the picture look excited too?

Sarabi, Mufasa, and Young Simba costumes.

Pearson with the head of Mufasa's spirit from the second act when he tells Simba to go back and be King.
After the fantastic show, we did some more casual walking. (what I mean by this is we had no real goal in mind. We just walked around looking at the sites). This time we conquered 5th avenue. The only stores we actually went in were FAO Schwarz and the Apple store. Everything else looked too ritzy and we thought we would be out of place.
St. Thomas Cathedral on 5th Avenue
"Why is that T-Rex holding a Louis Vuitton bag??"
5th Avenue Presbyterian.

Pearson and Master Chief in FAO Schwarz.
The Big piano! We didn't get to play on it. The line was too long.
For dinner that night we went to Hard Rock on Times Square. It was really cool. I always love the atmosphere of Hard Rock and the guitars and outfits they have on display at this one are unmatched.

A guitar of Gene Simmons'!
After dinner, we walked around Times Square and observed it's intriguing night life. We visited the Disney store, the Hershey's store and the M&M store which were all amazing!
I was pretty excited here too...
World's Largest Kiss with the World's Cutest Husband!
World's Largest Hershey's Bar!
Green M&M dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
One of the many walls of M&M's.
We got back to the hotel exhausted again but looking forward to our last day in the city.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for one more day!
