Enjoying the Christmas Season {December Marriage Goals}

I am posting this pretty late today because... Well because we got home at about 12:45 am on Sunday night/Monday morning from our Thanksgiving trip. Then, last night, we went to 3 different stores looking for the perfect fake, pre-lit Christmas tree. After last year's lighting fiasco, I swore we were going the pre-lit rout this year. But we should have gotten it earlier. Anyway, we finally found the perfect tree at Target thanks to Pearson spotting it in an abandoned cart! We got home and I was determined to put it up and get it decorated before we went to bed. As I talked about in my post about what I'm doing in December yesterday, I am so worried about Christmastime passing me by and not being able to enjoy it. I will be heading to Georgia for work on the 15th and staying there until Pearson joins me for the week of Christmas. So I only have [less than] two weeks to enjoy the Christmas season at home.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. Lets move on to my goals for this month.
This link up from Amberly is really supposed to be about marriage and relationship goals. In the past month or so I have written about my personal goals as well. This month, I am going to get back to goals that only have to do with our marriage. I am preparing for some changes that this link up is going to undergo starting in the new year. And I am so excited!
So my marriage goals for the month of December are...
  1. Put away technology as much as possible. Especially at night when Pearson is home. I want to spend the time I have with him being actually with him.
  2. Don't get stressed or frustrated and take it out on Pearson. Back in September, I talked about my getting upset over stupid things and always taking it out on my husband. I want to resurrect my goal of not doing that this month because I know the holidays can be stressful and I need to keep this goal in mind.
  3. Pray with Pearson every night before bed. This is a goal I started last month and I want to continue working on it. We pray together at meals and other times throughout the day, but there is just something about talking to the Father right before falling asleep that has a comforting feeling and I want to share that with Pearson too.
  4. Spend some quality time together every day enjoying the Christmas season. I want to do something "Christmassy" every day even if it is just sharing hot chocolate after dinner. I want to enjoy this season as much as possible. (Have I mentioned that yet?)
