Monthly Goals for May {2018}

Well guys. It's another month. Which means it's time for another goals post. Every time I say that I think of goal posts in football and I wish it was fall. At least we had the NFL draft last week. But I digress.

I am so ready to make this month the best yet as far as my goals go. I started using the app, Asana about a week or so ago to keep track of tasks and goals. And I'm now a part of an accountability group with a couple other bloggers that I met through a Prayerful Bloggers group. Also Pearson starts real work next week. This week will be his last of training, which means he'll be working longer hours, which means I will have more time during the day to blog before he gets home (I hate working when he's home) and it also means he will be wanting to go to bed earlier which will make me want to go to bed earlier.

So this month is looking up. April wasn't so great as far as my goals and we did a lot of sitting around watching Marvel movies. I'm ready to hit the ground running and to spend some more time outside as the weather gets better. After all, April showers bring May flowers, right?

How I did in April:

Spiritual:

  • Read the day's devotional thought from "Breaking Free Day by Day" at least 3 times per week.

Physical:

  • Stick to the Keto Diet, only cheating at most once per week on the weekends. - We cheated way more than we should have.
  • Do something active every day whether it's go for a long walk, or do something at the apartment gym or just do something at home. - I didn't do something every day but I did pretty well.

Mental:

Marriage:

  • As always, I'm setting the goal of going on at least one intentional date per week!

Blog:

  • Post once per week - Technically I didn't post last week but I did post Sunday and yesterday so I'm counting it.
  • Read through the Instagram Monetization guide by The Social Media Posse.

Home:

  • Clean at least 10 minutes per day. I'm gonna set a timer and see how much I can get clean.
  • Finish decorating and setting up everything. We're almost done but there are a few more decorations I want to buy. - I didn't exactly get around to this.
So you see, April was pretty bad. But I'll make up for it this month.

Resetting in May:

Spiritual:

  • Read 1st John EVERY DAY. I got this idea from Jami of The Young Wife's Guide when she did a webinar for this year's Homemaking Bundle. I have a whole blog post about it that I will share but I really think reading one book of the Bible every day for a whole month will be life-changing!

Physical:

  • Stick to the Keto Diet, only cheating at most once per week on the weekends.
  • Work out at least 3 times per week

Mental:

Marriage:

  • As always, I'm setting the goal of going on at least one intentional date per week!

Blog:

  • Post on the blog twice per week
  • Read through the Instagram Monetization guide by The Social Media Posse.
  • Write at least one sponsored post

Home:

  • Keep the kitchen clean. Don't let dishes pile up for more than one day.
  • Finish decorating and setting up everything.
So those are a bit more involved and difficult than usual, but I really think I can do it. I'm feeling really good! Do you set monthly goals? Share your link in the comments or just tell me a few of your goals! Let's support each other!
